Black forest cherry smoothie bowl

As I must have mentioned before breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and I love it to constantly create new breakfast ideas. Right now cherry season is in full swing and what’s better than a yummy breakfast recipe making use of cherries. Cherries contain loads of polyphenols as well as some vitamin C. One of my and Mister S.’s favourite cakes is Black forest cherry cake. Even our wedding cake was one. 🙂 Unfortunately it’s not the most healthy thing to eat and that’s fine on an occasion, but still may be not something to have for breakfast. I mean you could but that doesn’t really go along with the image of this blog. 🙂 So I thought how about a healthy Black forest smoothie bowl or rather my interpretation of it. That brings me to the idea to actually interpret the Black forest cake in a new and healthy way. Perhaps there is a new recipe coming your way in the next weeks.
This recipe here is super easy and quick to make and really keeps you full. Happy cherry time everyone!
