During fall I simply love cooking, baking and creating new recipes with all the wonderful seasonal produce. Crunchy and crisp apples are a big part of it. They’re just so versatile and add so much flavour to any dish with their sweet and sour taste. On top of that they’re just incredibly healthy. They contain lots of pectin, vitamins and minerals and help digestion and lowering cholesterol. I’m sure you’ve heard of the popular saying “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away”.

This smoothie recipe is made with crisp and sour apples, simmered with cinnamon and coconut blossom sugar until tender and then blended with delicious cashew milk. The combination of the tartness of the apples paired with a touch of cinnamon and caramel tastes simply heavenly.
