Matcha is a finely ground Japanese green tea with amazing health benefits and used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. It contains a lot of antioxidants and healthy nutrients. Compared to coffee, Matcha has a much longer effect on the body due to its combination of caffeine and amino acids. Often coffee makes us “crash” and feel even more tired after a short-time high. So matcha is an amazing and healthier alternative to coffee.
Even though I like to have a cup of coffee once in a while I very much prefer a matcha latte by now. I like to prepare it with cashew milk as I like the creamy sweetness of it. You could of course use other milk as well. Just try it!
