Along with black pepper and fresh ginger, it really warms you up from the inside and makes you feel better instantly.

In India turmeric milk has been a well-tried recipe for centuries and is always taken to treat those first cold symptoms or promote well-being in general. Turmeric has its origin in South Asia and is known for its healing properties since thousands of years. Especially for its anti-inflammatory and cancer-fighting benefits, as well as boosting the immune system. It’s related closely to the ginger plant and contains the healing compound curcumin, which is responsible for its strong golden-yellow colour. Therefore it is also used as a natural plant dye.
