Crunchy and crisp apples are a big part of it. They&#8217;re just so versatile and add so much flavour to any dish with their sweet and sour taste. On top of that they&#8217;re just incredibly healthy. They contain lots of pectin, vitamins and minerals and help digestion and lowering cholesterol. I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ve heard of the popular saying &#8220;An apple a day, keeps the doctor away&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This smoothie recipe is made with crisp and sour apples, simmered with cinnamon and coconut blossom sugar until tender and then blended with delicious cashew milk. Place in a small pot along with water, cinnamon and coconut blossom sugar. Bring to a boil, cover and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until soft and all water has evaporated. Blend until smooth. Reserve a couple of spoons and keep aside. Blend the rest along with the cashew milk. Spoon the reserved apple puree in a glas and add the cashew milk and apple mixture on top.
